The short version: we use your details only to answer your enquiry. This website sets no cookies and has no analytics, tracking or advertising.
Who we are
Sellframe Ltd, registered in Scotland, company number SC472357, 14 Avonside Grove, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, ML3 7DL, is responsible for the details you send us (the controller). We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZA781833. Contact us at mail@sellframe.com.
The enquiry form
If you use the form on the Start a project page, we receive what you type into it: your name, email address and company, what you want to build, your message, when you'd like to start, and how you heard about us. We use it only to reply to you and, if you want to go ahead, to prepare a scope and a quote.
Our reason in law is that you asked us to take steps before a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and, for follow-up questions, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). You don't have to use the form: you can email us instead. We don't use your details for marketing, and we don't sell or share them.
If you email mail@sellframe.com, or reply to us, your email passes through Cloudflare's email routing service and is delivered to our Google mailbox.
Who handles it for us
- DigitalOcean provides the server that runs this website and the enquiry form, in New York, USA. We run the software on it ourselves.
- Resend (USA) delivers each enquiry to our mailbox as an email. It keeps a copy of each email it sends for 30 days, then deletes it.
- Cloudflare (USA) runs this domain's DNS and forwards email sent to mail@sellframe.com.
- Google provides the mailbox where enquiries and emails arrive.
The United States is outside the UK. UK law allows personal data to be sent to US companies certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (the UK-US data bridge), and each of these companies states that it is certified.
How long we keep it
- Your enquiry is kept on the website server for 90 days, then deleted. A nightly backup copy of the enquiry store is kept for 7 more days, and backups of the whole server for up to four weeks.
- The email we receive is kept in our mailbox for as long as it's useful for the conversation, any work that follows and our records.
- Server logs (the page asked for, the time, and your IP address with its last digits removed) are kept for at most 14 days, to keep the website running and secure.
Your IP address is also used, in memory only, to stop one visitor sending the form many times in a few minutes. It isn't stored with your enquiry.
Cookies, analytics and fonts
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies' servers. Its typeface, Parkinsans, is served from our own server under the SIL Open Font Licence (the licence).
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, or restrict or object to how we use them. Email mail@sellframe.com and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
