Web app development
We're a web app development company that designs, builds and runs web apps and SaaS products. We run products of our own, so we build for what happens after launch: real users, real payments, support, security updates and growth.
You get one team for the whole job: product design, the app itself, the website that explains it, hosting, and looking after it once it's live. You own the code and the data.
What we build

Web apps, SaaS and portals
A web app runs in the browser on any device, with nothing to install, so it's usually the quickest way to put software in front of customers or staff. Updates reach everyone at once, and there's no app store between you and your users.
Most of what we build is a web app: customer portals, booking and ordering systems, SaaS products sold by subscription, directories and marketplaces, data products with an API, and internal tools.
What we build
SaaS products
Accounts, teams, subscriptions and billing through Stripe, trials, admin tools and the emails that go with them.
Customer portals
Where your customers log in to order, book, pay, upload, track or download, so your team answers fewer emails.
Directories and marketplaces
Listings, search and filters, enquiries, reviews and paid plans for the businesses listed.
Data products and APIs
APIs with keys, usage metering, documentation and a status page, for selling data or connecting to partners.
Search at scale
Thousands of records that people can search and filter quickly, with pages that search engines can find and understand.
Browser extensions
Chrome extensions that work inside the tools people already use all day, with an account and billing behind them.
How we build
We use a small set of proven tools: Go on the server, PostgreSQL for the data, and Next.js and React for the interface. Every app has automated tests that run before each release, backups, and error alerts that reach us.
We keep things simple on purpose. Fewer moving parts means faster pages, fewer outages and lower running costs, and it makes the app easier for anyone to take over.
What every app we launch has
Sign-in that's secure by default, roles and permissions, an admin area, emails that land in the inbox, backups, error alerts, and pages that load quickly on a phone. None of it is glamorous, and all of it is missed when it's not there.
How a project runs
We start with what the app is for and who will use it, then design the main screens with real data before building. The build runs in stages at a fixed price each, and you use working software early.
After launch we host it, watch it, keep it updated and secure, and keep improving it with you, for a monthly fee. New features are quoted before we start.
Software we built and still run
Our own products, live today. We designed, built and host every one of them.

Questions
Web app or mobile app?
For most business software, a web app: one codebase that works on any device, no app store reviews, and updates that reach everyone at once. It can be added to a phone's home screen like an app.
Can you take over an existing app?
Often, yes. We start with a review of the code, the hosting and the data, and tell you plainly what we'd keep, fix or replace before you commit to anything.
Will it cope if we grow?
We design for the load you expect and measure it before launch. The tools we use handle a great deal of traffic on modest servers, and we watch the numbers so we can act before it slows down.
Who owns the code?
You do, from the start, along with the data and the designs. We host it by default, and we'll hand everything over if you decide to host it elsewhere.
Tell us what you want to build
A few lines is enough to start. Phil replies within one working day.
